MILLENCOLIN Singer's Brother Goes Missing, Band Cancel U.S. Tour
May 5, 2003Swedish pop-punkers MILLENCOLIN were forced to cancel their North American tour after frontman Nikola Sarcevic's brother, 34-year-old Miodrag Sarcevic, went missing from the band's hometown of Örebro, Sweden on April 20. A nationwide search for Miodrag has since been launched, but has yet to yield any clues about his disappearance.
"[There has been a lot of speculation about why we cancelled the tour] and the truth is that Nikola's brother HAS been missing for 13 days now and the search is still going on," MILLENCOLIN drummer Fredrik Larzon wrote in an online posting. "We're really sorry for canceling the east coast leg of the tour but this is all that really matters for us now. We all hope for a happy ending and we hope we can make it up to you."
